I asked Holden if he's ever been left out by anything. Any feelings of belonging, where he wants to belong to a group or be accepted by anyone. If not feeling of belonging, I asked whether he wanted to fulfill something or if he was motivated by anything. He told me that his family, his little sister, Phoebe, has mainly been the real reason for why he's still lurking around the city streets. He says that he strives to be as good as his family and not be the stupid loner in his family. His little brother and little sister were intelligent when it came to school academics, he was the only one with no good grades, except for english. A strong feeling of trying to  belong in his family overwhelm him and that's why he cannot be seen with them. After that, he told me about when he was riding home on a taxi. He started conversing with the taxi driver, just small talk. His gaze shifted to a bunch of ducks and fish in a pond. He asked the driver, what happens to the fish and ducks when the pond freezes. Obviously the duck will be able to fly away, but the fish, since they remained underwater, the fish will be frozen. If they do not do something of the situation, they will just freeze to death, stuck at one place. I thought that related to him a lot, with how he needs to keep on moving, if he doesn't he's just going to die.
