It seemed like he had a pretty hard time remembering anyone that actually had put on an impact in his life. I asked hi if he had any negative relationships and he answered almost immediately. He told me he really dislikes people who are "phonies". He said they always seem to piss him off because they act indifferently towards certain people and lie. Next, he told me about his roommate, a boy named Stradlater. He told me how that boy does whatever he wants, and goes out with as many girls as he wanted. He told me they once got into a fight because he was with a girl that seemed pretty important to him, which got him kicked out of the school. He told me that he has gone throughout his high school years nomadically travelling from city to city to find places to stay for a while. Along they way, he's met with a few other people but didn't really have nice experiences, just a small chat and then farewells. I asked him why doesn't he just go back to his home with his family and stay there for a bit. He sighed and explained that he can't go back home, if he does, he'll just end up being a nuisance because of his bad reputations. He was always looked down upon in the family since he was not smart in school. He didn't want to give his family a bad name, so that's the reason why he's been moving around alone. We moved to the next subject.
